John’s First Communion

It was certainly Communion month for us! As you may notice from these pictures, John’s Communion was at the same hall as Erin’s Communion. Neat coincidence huh? This week was much cooler and was unfortunately raining, but that didn’t stop any of the fun inside! It was a great day of family, friends, food, music and even back flips. Don’t forget it was filled with pictures as well! Here are our best shots of the day…

Our Moment with Laura and Keith

For a change of pace, we let Laura and Keith write up their own blog…

“Would you believe this couple met in a gas station???  Yep, its true…and almost 20 years later we still love to tell our funny story.  We’ve been married for 6 years and had the opportunity with Heather and Alex this year to relive getting back in a wedding dress and suit and have photos done.  Along with a few family members, we took shots in our own yard and then went to a local lake which provided some of the cool backgrounds you can see in these shots  – the lake, the “rockin’” boat, and the rickety old wood bridge that gave us 2 of our favorite pics.

I was already impressed with their work I had seen but I never imagined our shots to be as incredible as they were. Not only are these photos great from a technical standpoint, they capture who Keith and I really are and we now have photos that blow our original wedding pics away!

Working with Alex and Heather was a relaxed, fun experience.  They work very well together, not your typical “pose and shoot” style.  You can be yourself and between the two of them they will capture moments and expressions and then put together a collage of photos that will tell your story.

Can’t wait for the next experience!  We love you guys…

We love you guys too!

Erin’s First Communion

It was a scalding 95-degree day, which was very unusual for this time of year. I found this very interesting considering the same thing happened for my first communion, sixteen years ago. We spent as little time as possible getting the outdoor shots so that Erin could get inside and enjoy the nice, cool air conditioning. Erin was beautiful all dressed up and her family threw a great party. We were happy to be a part of their special day. Here is a sample of Erin’s portraits and some of our favorite party pictures.
