Happy Birthday Ava!

Alex and I had the pleasure of being an important part of Ava’s big day. For her 7th birthday, her family threw a “Hollywood” themed party.  This was the first time we were hired to act as “paparazzi” at an event. Then again, how different is that from what we normally do?  Our friends and family have finally gotten used to having cameras in their faces everywhere we go!  Ava was one of the most photogenic children we have ever met.  The day was a lot of fun. As usual, here are some of our favorite shots!

Erin’s First Communion

It was a scalding 95-degree day, which was very unusual for this time of year. I found this very interesting considering the same thing happened for my first communion, sixteen years ago. We spent as little time as possible getting the outdoor shots so that Erin could get inside and enjoy the nice, cool air conditioning. Erin was beautiful all dressed up and her family threw a great party. We were happy to be a part of their special day. Here is a sample of Erin’s portraits and some of our favorite party pictures.

Thursday Thursday…

Thursdays are my normal day off. By “day off” I mean I am not at my “real” job and I spend the day getting everything else done. I take my alone time and split it between everything that needs to be done for the business (processing photos, answering clients, advertising, etc.) and everything that needs to be done in my personal life (running errands, cleaning the house, etc.) This Thursday, I began my day with cleaning, going to the gym, and doing my usual bank, post office, and grocery runs. I had been trying to find time to get out in the nice spring weather and take some pictures. I figured this would be the prime time to do that. I parked my truck along a side street in Barnegat and began walking up route 9. I was amazed at the photo opportunuties that I was presented with. Although I got a lot of stares, (I mean how often do you see someone walking up a highway taking pictures of nothing?) it was so much fun! I had no idea what kind of neat places and things I would find. Here are some of the highlights of my journey.

Exciting Evening

We are in Delaware for the weekend for Easter and for birthday weekend! Mom and I both have birthdays this weekend. We had just finished dinner when dad got a call from the police saying he was needed at his place of business due to an arrest in progress. We all hopped in the car to witness the event. Upon leaving the property, we noticed a cute little carnival across the street. Mom and I were commenting about how long it had been since we had been on carnival rides and figured “what the heck?” and hopped on one of our favorite rides. Dad got to have his cotton candy, Alex got to take tons of pictures, and Mom and I got to giggle like little girls on the Himalaya. Fun was had by all.

Liz and Adam: The Wedding…part 2

Liz and Adam have actually been married for three years. This photo session was an anniversary gift to each other. Since Liz was never fully pleased with her original wedding photos, she went all out! We were happy to give her a more photo journalistic approach to her most important photos. I had the honor of being in their wedding three years ago (she was also in ours), and now got to help them out with their very special anniversary. We took these pictures in Huddy Park and in downtown Toms River, NJ. It was a beautiful day and we all had a wonderful time. Liz and Adam are both full of personality and we hoped to capture exactly that. Although rain was a constant threat, the weather held out for us and we were very pleased. Here are some of our favorites…
