Diamond Cut Photography bio picture

Welcome to Diamond Cut Photography!

Hi there! We are Heather and Alex Cruz, the photographers of Diamond Cut Photography. We are from Waretown, NJ and predominantly work in NJ but love to travel to expand our photography horizons. Stop back often and share our journeys with us. We will post a bit of everything we do.

We shoot weddings, engagement pictures, pet portraits, family portraits and more! If you are looking for pictures not listed here, feel free to ask! We are always open to new things!

Don't be shy about leaving comments; we love getting feedback, and meeting new people. We thoroughly enjoy making new friends out of our clients. As newlyweds, we love the experience of working with a bride and groom, whether it is engagement photos, or the big day.

Exciting Evening

We are in Delaware for the weekend for Easter and for birthday weekend! Mom and I both have birthdays this weekend. We had just finished dinner when dad got a call from the police saying he was needed at his place of business due to an arrest in progress. We all hopped in the car to witness the event. Upon leaving the property, we noticed a cute little carnival across the street. Mom and I were commenting about how long it had been since we had been on carnival rides and figured “what the heck?” and hopped on one of our favorite rides. Dad got to have his cotton candy, Alex got to take tons of pictures, and Mom and I got to giggle like little girls on the Himalaya. Fun was had by all.

Happy Birthday Reagan!

April seems to be a very big birthday month for us.  Our friends, Nick and Carrie, threw a party for their daughter Reagan last Sunday for her 3rd birthday.  We don’t get to see them much and were shocked to see how much Reagan has grown up.  Happy birthday Reagan!

Happy Birthday Heather!

Heather turns 25 this year so we decided to throw a nice “Quarter of a Century” for her. Since her birthday was on Easter Sunday this year, and we will be away, we decided to throw it last Saturday.  Between the yummy Filipino food,  Guitar Hero World Tour, and all of our friends there, we had a blast!

Heather, I just want to say how happy I am to be married to you and wish you many more birthdays so we can grow old together. :)   Love you Sweetie! Mow.

Tieghan’s Baptism

I get a call one evening from my friend Corey who asked if we’d be able to photograph his daughter’s baptism.  I was delighted and honored, and of course I said yes.  Here are some of my favorites from Tieghan’s special day!

A Fantastic Find

It has been said that you can find treasures in the most unusual places…Since we were free for the day and the weather was unseasonably warm, we debated going to the flea market. Since all the snow had just recently melted, we knew it would be so muddy there, so we had second thoughts. All morning we went back and forth. Do we go? Finally, when we knew it was getting late and it was our last chance to go, we decided to risk it. Since I am a huge fan of yard sales, the flea market is always a treat. We went up and down the aisles finding nothing we felt was worthwhile, but having a great time just checking everything out. All of a sudden, there it was…a Polaroid 80A. This camera was made from 1957 to 1959 and retail price was $72.75. I would imagine that was a lot of money at the time. Although we discovered that the film will go out of production in 2009, we will still treasure it as a true antique. It was a great way to spend $3. And yes, we did get muddy…but it was well worth it. Here is a picture of our “new” camera!
